Check your immigration case status and understand the result
Finding the portal is not enough: you need to know whether it is the right service, what the screen means, and which document controls your next step. It is not a nationality tracker, TIE service, appointment booking, or notification inbox.

What are you trying to check?
Choose by the procedure you submitted, not by the word expediente. This keeps you out of a service that will never show your case.
- I applied for arraigo, family reunification, a stay, residence, work, or a renewal
- If an Oficina de Extranjería handled it, this is the right service. Open Infoext2 and use the details shown on your submission receipt.
- I applied for Spanish nationality by residence
- Use the Ministry of Justice's Cómo va lo mío service. Infoext2 does not check nationality cases.
- I have already given fingerprints and want to know whether my TIE is ready
- Infoext2 tracks the authorisation, not production or collection of the card. Check your receipt and the Police station's instructions.
- I need to book, change, or cancel an appointment
- Use the official cita previa service. The case-status service does not manage appointments or show availability.
- I received an electronic alert about a notification
- Open DEHú, Carpeta Ciudadana, or the channel named in your application. Neither the alert nor the status screen replaces the official document.
- I am an EU citizen or the family member of one
- The Ministry excludes these cases from this status service. Ask the office that handled the card; Infoext2 has no single nationwide replacement for this situation.
If this result appears, here is the next step
The national portal guarantees the broad states en trámite and resuelta. Some offices show more detailed labels, so this guide always starts with ‘if this appears’.
- ‘No se ha encontrado la información solicitada’ (information not found)
- This does not mean your application was refused or lost. Check every detail against the receipt; the case may not have been recorded yet. If it persists, contact your Oficina de Extranjería. Do not file another application because of this screen alone.
- ‘Se están realizando trámites previos a la grabación’ (being prepared for registration)
- The office is still entering information. Keep your receipt and check again later. This message does not mean refusal and does not ask you to submit again.
- ‘En trámite’ (in progress)
- The application is still being processed. This status cannot predict the date or outcome. Keep your receipt and monitor the notification channel you chose.
- ‘En trámite – requerido’ (documents requested)
- There is a requerimiento, but this screen does not say what is missing or give the deadline. Open the notification, identify the due date, and reply through the channel it names. Save the justificante for your submission.
- The status shows a favourable decision
- The application was approved, but you need the resolution to know what to do. If it requires a TIE, the next stage is with Policía Nacional; not every favourable decision ends in a TIE.
- The status shows an unfavourable decision
- The reason, appeal route, and deadline are in the resolution, not on this screen. Open the notification and work from that document.
- ‘Indeterminado’, ‘remitido’, ‘recurso’, or another result
- You need the context from the office or resolution. Keep the screen and receipt, then contact the Oficina de Extranjería processing the case.
How do I check the status without losing the next step?
Confirm that you are looking for an immigration authorisation
Use the selector above. Nationality, cita previa, and TIE production each use a different service.
https://infoext2.delegaciondelgobierno.gob.es/infoext2/ →Open Infoext2 from the official source
Choose Cl@ve or the form and copy the details from your submission receipt. Do not use an old screenshot from someone else's case as a reference.
Read the screen as information, not a notification
Note the exact status wording, but find any requerimiento, resolution, or deadline in the official notification channel.
Keep a minimum context pack
Store the receipt, status screenshot, and any notification together. If you submit documents, save the registration justificante too.
Which document controls each step
The status screen answers one limited question: whether the authorisation is still in progress or has been decided. The receipt proves submission; the notification contains the requerimiento or resolution; and the justificante proves any later document upload.
Before acting, identify which document you are reading. Do not calculate a deadline, file another application, or book an appointment from a status label alone.
- Check the procedure type and every detail against the receipt.
- Open the official notification before interpreting a requerimiento or resolution.
- Hide your NIE, passport, address, and verification codes before sharing a screenshot.
